Frolic 6 & Superga Presence THE ITALIAN STREET CULTURE

n 1911 in Torino, Italy Walter Martiny started the production of rubber-soled footwear branded with the Superga logo. In 1925 his designs expanded to included footwear with vulcanized rubber soles and the Superga 2750 Heritage style was born!
After the war Superga restarted production specializing solely in the production of high quality footwear. In the 1970s, Superga diversified to add sport shoes with technical attributes. Now the collections include Superga City collections and Superga Country rubber rain and outerwear boots in addition to the original Superga Vulcanized and Sport lines.

The 2750 has been an icon from the beginning. Long a favorite for taking Italians from the city to the beach to weekends away, it is easy to wear and designed to dress up casual sportswear. It can be washed like your favorite jeans to create your own vintage look.

The 2750’s low cut style has an open lower cut ankle with finished inseams inside the shoe. Designed to perfectly complement the foot, it is an elegant sneaker that looks relaxed and well dressed whether worn at the beach or at the office.

Superga celebrates the fun lifestyle of the 2750 by offering a wide range of colors, fabrics, and prints each season for women, men and children.

Frolic 6 is proud to Present to you the first ever ITALIAN STREET CULTURE with Superga eKasi(SOWETO). The main idea of this event is of showing the appreciation of SOWETO’s loyalty towards the Label and how SOWETANs have been supporting the brand for the past years. We all own atleast two Pairs of Superga’s and we don’t really care how dirty and torn they are cause they are so Damn appealing, and that’s how much they admire the creativity SOWTANs have shown!

Superga is turning a Century, yes 100 years and it is coming to celebrate its 100th year Anniversary on the 22nd of October 2011 Chaf Pozi, the up market traditional Shisa Nyama nestled beautifully at the foot of the iconic FNB Orlando Towers in SOWETO, where authentic South African memories are made!
