We live in a world advancing with lots of creativity, arts & crafts, a world where human beings have extraordinary diverse ways of expressing themselves & one way/art we’ve came across is the art of TATTOOS.

The word TATTOO is said to has two derivation from the Polynesian word ‘ta‘ which means striking something & the Tahitian word ‘tatau’ which means to mark something.

The history of TATTOOING began over 5000 years ago & is as diverse as the people who wear them.

TATTOOS are created by inserting colored materials beneath the skins surface. The first TATTOOS probably were created by accident. Someone had a small wound & rubbed it with a hand that was dirty with ashes from the fire. Once the wound had healed, they saw that a dark mark stayed permanently.

It is strongly believed that many TATTOOS serve as rites of passage, marks of status & rank, symbols of religious & spiritual devotion, decorations for bravery, sexual lures & marks of fertility & the list goes on…

Today, people choose to be TATTOOED for cosmetic, sentimental/memorial, religious & magical reasons & symbolize their belongings or identification.

So remember: “Determine what your tattoo means to you now, later, and forever.”
“A tattoo does not change who you are or where you from…”

Please feel free to share a picture of your tattoo or if you have a different approach towards tattoos. We would like to hear from you.
